Just getting here!

Hello all :) I arrived safely in Sierra Leone.  It was a very long journey but i'm here! I met up with some people headed to MS in Brussles.  It was very calming to have other people there.  The trip itself was wonderful.  I made all of my connections, there wern't any screaming children on the flights, no one was sick, on two of the legs i didn't have anyone next to me so i was able to stretch out and get some sleep.  I realized that the last time i flew for more then an hour was when i was probably 14.  I definitly remembered planes having more leg room!
Once we landed in SL we went through customs which consisted of a sign that said "customs" and you walked through a hallway.  It was that simple.  traveling from the airport to the ferry to take us to the Africa Mercy was exciting as well.  There's a lot of people walking in the streets, a lot of cars passing each other in on coming traffic lanes etc.  On the ferry everyone was trying to sell you something.  At one point there were two guys who did a dance routine thing for money.  It was quite entertaining.  The music consisted of oldies covers done in an african style.  Very unique.
Once we got on the ship we had a very brief meeting where they gave us keys and badges and sent us to our rooms for the night.  I have 5 roomates and have met 4 of them.  Everyone is so nice and helpful!
More later :)
