I tried to blog yesterday but i had a slight blond moment. I tried to plug in my laptop to the Internet and well...lets say i didn't realize till this morning that we had two cables out and i was plugging one end of one into my lap top and the other end of the other cable into the outlet. no wonder the Internet wasn't working... problem was not the Internet.
last night we went out to dinner at a restaurant called Montana. It was surprisingly delicious! Jesse and Carmen treated us and our day workers (from the galley). We had so much fun! There were lots of speeches, Isaac gave us a sermon, lots of tears and hugs and goodbyes. We will always miss them.
This morning we had a cookie bake. I made a TON of dough and then scaled it into 1 Kg portions. People picked up their pre ordered dough and then rolled/cut out the dough. Me, and my elf helpers (happened to be some of the deck officers) ran them up to the galley to bake them. It was a very hot and sweaty 3 hours. But really fun! Seeing all the kids rolling out and decorating their cookies. Really fun!

oh the hum buzz of Christmas time! |
We are starting to have 'at sea' drills instead of 'at port' drills. Practicing for the sail. Krissy gave me a hug and well...it's tough to hug in life jackets.

Catching up on some pictures here, first we have pictures from the day worker farewell party last week
|
Note that all of our workers had dresses made out of the same fabric. It was so wonderful! they looked amazing! |
Next we have some pictures of saying good bye: We have a tradition that we line up on the dock and wave until the land rovers round the corner
Krissy convinced Josh to make snow flakes with her to decorate the ship

So pretty Krissy! |
And lastly we have decorations that we made for our door: in case you can't tell, it's a fire place with stockings and a tree on the mantel
It's December 3rd! I can hardly believe where the time has gone. To all a good night.
WOW Emma your fireplace and stockings look really good - we are decorating our tree tonight - I really appreciated all your pics - so sad about all the workers that seem to continually be leaving. . .. hey - since Sam died, Rosie has been a different cat! She has turned into Sam - we are saying that we still have two cats, just with one body! We love you!!
