the other day an announcement came across the loud speaker that there were dolphins and if you hurried up to Deck 7 or 8 you could see them. Well...there definitely were dolphins and they were beautiful! There were a TON of them jumping and spinning and just playing around the ship. It was absolutely amazing to see. By far my favorite part of the sail so far.
This was actually taken a couple days ago but it's taken me a day or two to get my act together and put up a post. Taken from the bow at sunset.

While we are in port the bow is not open for crew to hang out on. However, while we are sailing the open it for us to go up to during certain hours. A lot of people were watching the sunset tonight. |

Roger, my wonderful Norwegian friend is on the lookout! Go Rogey Roge! (we have nicknames for each other...)

One of the traditions on the ship is that the Gurkahs cook Nepalese food for us one night during the sail. and let me tell you, the can COOK! we had eggs curry, chicken curry (i was told it's not real curry unless there are bones in it), puri which is a kind of bread (really yummy), potatoes, and lentil soup (it was really more of a sauce) and white rice. The food was SSSOOOOO GOOD!!!

Chitra (left) and Ganesh (Ganesh told me that he was in charge but not to tell any of the other Gurkahs, pretty funny) |

This is a view of Oretha's bakery...when they started using her mixer i almost told them not to (it's a bad idea to use Oretha's stuff with out her being there) but i'm pretty sure that they could stand up to Oretha if push came to shove. |

The last couple days have been so chaotic! I have been working with the academy kids on their Christmas play, to be performed this Friday! There will be pictures coming soon, i promise. I'm in charge of the choreography for the dances and it's been really fun! I'm really glad they asked me to do this because it's given me a chance to get to know the teachers and kids a little better. The play is called Christ-myth busters, and it's pretty uh...funny. More on the play when i get pictures though.
I've started mourning Krissy's departure, she leaves on Monday :( today was her last day of work. I'm gonna be a sad little Emma when Tuesday comes. Monday I can't really think about it because we will be doing a luncheon for the president of Ghana.
That's all for tonight!
Ems - great post - we all enjoyed reading it tonight - just got home from AWANA - we loved the pictures especially of the dolphins and the hospital - we will be praying for your Christmas play dances and the luncheon on Monday.
ReplyDeleteWE LOVE YOU!!
